Hello from Ao Nang

Hello! Phi Phi Islands were great! A little bit too much tourists and Swedish people though. But it really was a little paradise. On Wednesday we met up Sofie and Victor and we just hanged and took a very funny aloe vera and coconut oil massage. We were all tired so we went to bed semi-early. After a little while we noticed it was going to be impossible since the loud music from the beach party was too loud and made it quite impossible to sleep before 2 AM. On Thursday all four of us took a snorkeling trip to different places with a long tail boat. We snorkeled in some bay, saw Maya Beach (The Beach), Monkey Beach with lots of overfed monkeys and a very bad snorkeling place with dead corals and too low water. But anyway it was a fun day and it was fun to do something other than just lie on the beach. After that we went to the beach Loh Dalum Bay, which was like not even 50 meters from our bungalow and then later we went out for dinner and celebrated Rina. We bought a big bucket with a drink and smoked water pipe and danced at the beach. It was fun! Yesterday we hanged on the beach again and met up some friends of Victors and went out on a two hour kayaking tour. I was paddling alone, which was okay, but it was a bit hard to keep up with the couples. We found a cute little beach in a bay and stayed there for a little while for some swimming. I found some beautiful (dead) corals on the beach that I'm taking home as decoration. Later on we went all six of us out for dinner and walked around a bit and then we all decided to just go to sleep.

Today we arrived to Ao Nang, Krabi, after a two hour ferry trip and a half an hour minibus trip. I really don't know what all the fuss is about since it's kind of shabby here I think. I don't know, maybe we just haven't discovered the good parts yet. Later we're maybe going to take a massage or something. It's a shame I can't put up pictures, but I can't be bothered to do it. You'll see them when I'm home again! Tomorrow we're probably heading fro Railay Beach or somewhere there. Bye bye!

Thumbs up: I'm quite tanned and it's so fresh. Our hotel is nice. We're at a new place again.

Thumbs down: All swearing Finns I've seen/heard. The shabby beach. I've spent so much money. Half of our trip is gone.

  1. Sawadee Krup!

Please do go to Railay West and make sure you visit Phra Nang Beach as it is the best beach in Railay. It is also home to a spectacular rock climbing site and of course the legendary "Princess Cave".

When you are back from Railay do visit Aonang Haven Massage which is a 200 meters walk up slope from McDonald's and located on the right side of the road.

It is the best place for a massage in Aonang.

  2. Hey! Thanks for the tip! Vi took a long tail to Railay West and walked over to Phra Nang and it was really cool. We found a really nice massage place yesterday and I think we're heading back there but you never know :) Thanks again!
