And I'll start all over again

I'm waiting for my download to finish so I thought I could blog a bit inbetween. I'm taking down the first season of O.C! I got a huuuuge desire to watch it all over again since I missed so much of the third and fourth season when it came on TV so, why not start from the beginning? I feel like such a TV-nerd since I started watching South Park from the beginning too a while back, going on season four now I think. I feel like my life has stopped a bit for a couple of days, I haven't been to school and I haven't been working either, completely nothing has happened. I still have this little thing why I couldn't go to school today, but tomorrow god damn it. My antibiotics sucks! I feel like I'm getting depressed, but hopefully when this is over I'm feeling better again!

The weather have been so nice today and a little walk earlier didn't hurt at all, it was so nice and "warm". I'm really waiting for the masses of snow to go away so the spring can begin, because after that comes summer and that will be awesome! I still don't have a clue on what I'm going to do this summer or where I'm gonna be! Why, little Miss Adventurous here? Well now I'm gonna make something good to eat and start TV-nerding a little while before some other stuff I need to do. So long readers!

Hello hello! Nothing to do here I see. We had a great weekend with the girls! Jeffi and Ida came here already kind of early, we ate some sushi and started making ourselves ready for the evening. A little bit later Louise and Nette joined us, we gossiped, drank wine and later we went on to Papu. There we had some delish margharitas, yummy! We went on to The Monkey and danced and had fun! Thank you all for coming and thank you for being such awesome friends ♥.

I'm a bit ill at the moment so I didn't go to school, but I have a job interview I need to go to in a couple of hours. I'm not actually hoping for anything from that one, but it will be interesting anyway. Now I wanna watch some GG and HIMYM! Bye!

N'oublie Jamais

I just watched The Vow, a love movie based on a true story (Kim and Krickitt Carpenter), about Leo and Paige. Basically it's a love story between the two of them. They are in a car accident and Paige looses her memroy and Leo needs to make her fall in love with him again and bring her memories back. A really cute story, but the movie doesn't measure at all with my favourite love movie The Notebook based on a Nicholas Sparks book. Because I'm in a lovey dovey mood today I'm gonna watch another movie based on a N.S book; Message in a bottle. I realized I've seen that one before too, but it was so long ago, and all great love stories are watchable over and over again. I watch The Notebook like once half a year. Haha. Love-nerd or what?

I realize I haven't blogged so much now, but I've just haven't had anything special to write. Been just doing schoolstuff. Today I'm working at HS to 6 PM and then I have to clean up here at home, because tomorrow I'm having a girls nights/housewarming party for my Hanko girls. Will be mucho fun! :) Now off to work -->

Fastlaskiainen

Igår firade jag fastlaskiainen med att börja på Kåren med Rina och några andra och sen var jag hemma hastigt ett varv och böt till min så vackra lila halare. Sedan sjöng vi singstar, spelade Alias och Trivial på MK med folk. Där tolvtiden gick vi vidare till B där det efter ett tag var helt fiilis med bra musik och dans. Så en kul kväll var det och tack alla som var med :)

// Yesterday there was a student thing called Fastlaskiainen happening here in Turku (and other student cities in Finland). Practically the students gather up at Vårdberget (Vartiovuori) to watch teams ride pulks/sleds and drink. Then there's always afterparties at different places. So yesterday I went to Kåren with some friends and then from there we went to MK. There we sang singstar, played Alias and Trivial with some people and later on we moved forward to B. There we danced and had lots of fun! So it was a nice night out and thanks all! :) //

Ciel Étoilé

Dagen började ju bra med att jag stängde av alarmet och sov nästan en timme extra istället, vaknade åtta i panik för jag skulle infinna mig i Arken 8.30. Jag kom bara någon minut försent så 1-0 till mig! (Vet inte vem jag tävlar emot egentligen, klockan kanske?). Hade ganska tråkig franska lektion där vi pratade om boken vi skulle ha läst tills idag och sen var det dags för redovisning efter det och det gick ju ganska smidigt i alla fall fast det kändes lite omöjligt först. Efter det blev jag kvar på Hanken för lite lunch med Anna & co. Kom nyss hem och ska kolla nyaste GG och sen städa undan här efter helgen. Fattar inte hur jag alltid lyckas få min lägenhet att se ut som ett bombnedslag under en helg! Men nu, off I go!

The morning couldn't start better than with a bath and a new episode of Desperate Housewives! Now I'm off to school for some food and marketing lectures. Later today I'm gonna finish up some homework and then have a girls night at Mias place. Now, bye bye!

A fun weekend behind me!

Hejsan! Lite svenska inläggen här imellan. Igår efter jobb skulle jag till Malin och dricka lite vin och bara skvallra och mysa. Efter några glas bestämde vi oss för att gå till Blanko på en, men det blev en hel förrädisk skumppaflaska istället. Efter den tyckte vi nog att Apan inte satt så fel i alla fall så det blev utekväll i helgen, men en spontan sådan. Och mycket kul hade vi dessutom så det var ju lyckat! Jag är bara så glad över att vara jag för jag ha träffa så mycket härliga människor på sistone. Kom just hem från jobbet, äntligen, och ska nu sätta på en film och äta lite guta. Ha så kiva kväll alla!

I'm home from work and now I'm supposed to read some of the French book and I will, soon. At least 40 pages! Then I'm going to a friends place to drink a glass or two of wine and then just home I suppose since we're both working tomorrow. Double paid tomo - Cashing!

I'm so excited about some stuff now, but unfortunately I can't tell you anything before this is happening (can take up to a year). Sad face!! But still so excited so I can't almost sitt still :D

Must See Movies

A new year means new movies. Yay! Besides The Vow and The Hunger Games I wanna see these movies, like NOW!

"Gone" with hot Amanda Seyfried (but I'm pretty sure after watching this trailer I already know how it ends, but I can be wrong).

"Snow White and The Huntsman" with Charlize Theron, Kristen Stewart and Chris Hemsworth. We all love fairytales don't we?

"The Lucky One" with Zac Efron, Taylor Schilling and Blythe Danner. Based on a Nicholas Sparks book. Do I need to say more?

"The Five-Year Engagement" with Emily Blunt and Jason Segel. Just because it seems like an easy funny movie.

"The Hobbit". I loved Lord of the Rings so this is a must-see.

Project X doesn't seem that bad either and American Reunion just because American Pie (1-3) was so good. The joke about Twilight in the trailer is kick-ass. Hahah :D

The bright side of working

How typical isn't it that when you get home from work in the middle of the night and today I could've slept at least until 10:30 and I wake up at freakin' 6:45 AM?? Now there's no point in falling asleep again, because when I have to wake up in an hour or so I'm gonna be tired. Well I got the Swedish version of the French book read at least, now I just have the French one left until it has to be finished on Tuesday.

Yesterday I discovered why I have been working so much lately aside from the obvious reasons (money, sickleaves, many shift offers....). Just because it's so fun! I meet new great people, I learn almost always something new (besides when I work at HS) and it's fun to try out new places. Yesterday I was working at Nådendals Bad again, but this time in another restaurant (Tammikellari) and I really liked it. Will defo go back there sometime. I realize I've talked much about work lately, but it's mostly because that's the only thing besides school I've been doing for a while now, but don't worry, I'm also getting a bit sick of living in my working clothes so next week I'm actually planning on having a week off work (if there's not a really good shift somewhere of course). Mostly because I've already worked so much this month and I need to focus a bit more on school now.

Well I think I'm gonna get up now and eat breakfast or something and then off to work to 11:30 AM! Bye bye!

Busy busy, no time to chill

Hello hello! I feel like these weeks just roll by so fast. Soon it's summer! ;) No, but seriously, I can't get it in my head that it's Friday already. I've been washing clothes today, watching tv shows and just chilling. Much needed since I don't feel that well right now. And it was so nice to see Fia yesterday by the way! She stayed here for a couple of hours so we had enough time to gossip ;)

I'm off to work in about an hour or so to Nådendals Bad. Not pepp at all right now, but it will be fine I guess. My sis just called and asked if I could take her shift at HS tomorrow, but we decided to just split it, I have school stuff I need to do and tomorrow is the only day I have time, or it depends if I work on Sunday or not. Well I'm working my ass off, that's for sure. But it's just good, since I don't have that much school right now, hence I have time to. And I might have made a little order to H&M (like 40€ since everything I bought was on sale, me likey!). Then there's all the upcoming happening next month, like birthdays, some student parties and a 3 night partything in Vasa so I need the money indeed.

Now I wanna eat some sweet sweet pie and take a quick nap. Have a nice day and evening all!

Tom Kha Soup and Rhubarb/Berry Pie

This is yesterday's food account. Delish indeed!

Tom Kha soup:

You need:

App. 5 dl Water
1 can of coconut milk
Tom Kha spice mix bag
Like 200-400 g of chicken depending on how "foody" you want the soup to be
A tomato or so
Some mushrooms
(Frozen veggies if you want)

Practically you just let the water, milk and spice mix cook together then put in the chicken (and frozen veggies if you want to) and let the chicken get ready (I'm always on the safe side with chicken so I let it be for like 7-10 minutes). Then a bit later the tomatoes and mushrooms. Takes like 10-15 minutes to make and it's oh so good! Thanks Sofie for the soup tip ;)

My second food achievement of the day,

Rhubarb/berry pie:

You need:

Pie crust:
½ dl water
100 g of baking butter
2½ dl of flour
(Some sugar)

Mix the flour and butter and then put a little bit of sugar if you want to so the crust is also a bit sweet. Then add water and form a firm dough from it. Spread the dough in a form and put it in the oven (200 degrees) for 13-15 minutes.

Filling:
Rhubarb (and/or berries)
1 "can" of sour cream (kermaviili in Finnish, dunno for sure what it is in English)
½ vanillasugar
1-2 dl sugar
1 egg

Mix the egg, sour cream, and the sugars with each other and then mix in the rhubarb. Pour it on the crust and put the pie in the oven for 20-30 minutes until it's "firm". Serve with vanilla sauce or ice cream!

Hello Thursday!

Hello again! I went to uni in a hurry only to get to know we don't have a class, but instead a secondary subject lecture that was voluntary. I've already chosen my secondary subject, economics, so it was kind of a waste for me to go there, but I learned something new so it was okay. I just came home and have taken care of some salary stuff that got messed up earlier. Thank you very much, or not. Soon I'm gonna make some food, tom kha soup I think. It's so delish! I'm very tired for some reason, like bodily, maybe getting sick I guess. Blaah. But I don't have time for that! I already have two days job ahead of me and maybe a third one too.I promised myself I would keep Saturday off, but I couldn't resist booking a working shift for then too. I regret it a bit now, but well - money money. Now I have to clean up a little bit and then start making the soup since Fia is coming here to see me :) Yay!

I came home from work about an hour ago and I'm so so tired. Probably because after being at work for a couple of hours I started feeling a bit ill and now my throath hurts. I really hope I'm not getting sick now because I have no time or energy for that! Well what can you do?

Today at uni I realized I have to start counting how much I'm earning when I'm working so much and good I did since I'm not that far away from the earning limit for this month. In Finland we have a system that when you're studying you get "support" money so you can afford studying and because of that you can't earn over a certain amount of money per month (or per year, but it's better to keep within the monthly limits so you can earn money all year long and not just for a couple of months). But practically all that money I get from the state goes to my rent so I have to work to afford living. I realized today I've actually already worked pretty much this month, like 40-50 something hours plus school. So I think I'm having a week off next week ;)

Well enough blabbering about money and work. I realized also that I haven't done anything very fun this week, but luckily I have many days left for fun. Though I'm actually thinking about not going out this weekend, just have a weekend off partying and hopefully I find something fun to do that does not involve partying. Now I just want to like sleep and wake up fresh and happy tomorrow! So good night all!

Working Girl

I'm soon on my way to school for an accounting lecture and then off to work to Nådendals Bad. The shift started at 15:00, but I called and asked if it was possible to change it to 16:00 and it was, so me happy, me get money and I get to work. I'll finish at ten so it isn't that late. Well now I have to go so I won't be late :)

New design and stuff

I have been pretty tired of my design and blog for a while now and I was a bit bored last night, as you may have noticed, so I started playing around a bit. I'm trying just a simple design this time and I also tried something new with the header. I wanted to try a header with just one picture and then because it was so empty on the other side I decided to put some of my favourite quotes there in a mess. It was very easy to make, but sizing it properly so it fits nicely to the blog was harder. It isn't perfect yet, but it'll have to do for now.


Oh, and I have a blog name crisis again so I changed it too. I never seem to like anything for longterm, but this is so simple and just me: "Just Jazmine..." so maybe I'll stick with it a little longer than last time.

Hello hello! I managed to wake up today for my morning classes in French and accounting. I just got home and should try to read a French book for next week, but it's Tuesday and that means all the new episodes of my favourite shows has come out. So it is officially GG time now. Late last night I also managed to make some bread and clean so I'm pretty happy I don't have to do it today. Let's see what happens tonight, I have no idea what I'm up to, but hopefully something fun :)
